Peak® QC Compare
QC (Quality Control) Compare is often used to test incoming materials. It answers the simple question: "Is this or is this not the material it is supposed to be?". It is most useful for Mid-IR or Raman spectra. For NIR or UV/VIS spectra, Conformity Index is better.
QC Compare is like Library Search in that it compares sample spectra to spectra of target compounds, using correlation coefficients. It is different than library search because it is not trying to answer the question 'what is this'. It is designed to answer the question: is this sample actually what it is supposed to be? It is a pass/fail metric, not an identification technique.
QC COM Server
A COM server for QC Compare analysis is available for use in long-running custom analysis applications. The COM server and html documentation can be downloaded here: setup_Peak_QC_COM_v2.exe
